Ben Rhydding produced their best performance of the season with a comfortable win against a Durham University side who had previously won their first five games.

Debutant Alec Skelton had a huge impact firstly providing an assist for Kamran Harrison before notching himself to put Rhydding two up inside 20 minutes.

The students got back into it just before half time after birthday boy, Ross McMillan, completely missed an aerial allowing Durham to score.

McMillan was otherwise excellent at the heart of a back three. Alongside Wil Jones and Freddie Graves, the Rhydding back line offered the North Easterners very little chance to gain any sort of momentum.

Will Musgrave celebrated his 40th birthday in style with yet another well taken short corner, before Aaron Terry bundled home a fourth, five minutes before full time.

Ben Rhydding now have a week off allowing McMillan and Musgrave to celebrate their birthdays in style. They may be a year older, but their experience and quality is still very much invaluable to this Ben Rhydding side.
